Toubkal - Trekking - Morocco

I have just returned from a fantastic trip to Morocco. I have been trekking in The High Atlas with my Berber friends Mohamed and Ibrahim. It has been an amazing experience. 

We will be organising trekking trips in the Atlas Mountains from 2015 with partners Tizi Trekking. It is a superb experience, journeying through an amazing mountain landscape barely touched by the fast passed modern world. The Berber people are incredibly hospitable, generous and friendly. Their culture and heritage have a rich tradition, with superb fresh food cooked in Tagine style a real feature of the whole experience.

We stayed in Refuges, Guest Houses, Gites and Riads. I was always made very welcome, with the locals findng great amusement with my attempts at Berber and French.

To summit Jebel Toubkal (4167m) at the end of the week was a real highlight. To be at the highest point in North Africa on a stunning morning with my good friend Mohamed was a fantastic experience that  I will cherish forever.
