Climbing Wall Training and Assessment - County Durham
We have recently completed a Site Specific Climbing Wall Training and Assessment course for Roseberry School and Sixth Form College, Chester-le-Street, County Durham.
The PE Department were keen to maximise the potential of the climbing wall in the schools sports hall for core PE and GCSE PE work. The PE Department were excellent. Highly competitive and very motivated....they did a lot of climbing!
Following a days training and assessment, and the production of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the wall, staff are now able to use the wall with PE groups and climbing clubs. As long as staff follow the guidelines within the SOP they are now independent Climbing Wall Supervisors supported by ATNE.
