Learn to Lead course
I have just returned from a brilliant 5 days of climbing in the Yorkshire Dales with 2 students and a member of staff from RGS Newcastle. They are all highly experienced and talented indoor climbers. Over the last year have made the transition into outdoor 'Trad.' leaders. The week was all about consolidating skills, gaining experience and becoming inreasinly independent, and of course building up to a visit to 'The Academy'.....Almscliff.
With generally excellent weather, we managed to get a lot of climbing done, particularly in the early part of the week, with visits to:- Chapel-le-Dale, Twistleton, Pot Scar and Almscliff. We even managed a trip to Harrogate Climbing Centreand a wet walk around Brimham.
Camping, pub food at night, and a wide variety of Coffee Shops complemented the trip perfectly. Thank you for a great 'road-trip'. Now Climb safe!
