Haughton Green Bothy
We have schools and Corporate Work planned in the Haughton Green Bothy area in the next few weeks, so with an excellent forecast it was a great chance today to get out to the area and recce the site.
We parked at Gibbs Hall Farm and walked in through some beautifully remote Farms / cottages to the Bothy in just over an hour. We have a 'Mountain Rescue ' exercise planned so it was good to checkout the 'Search and Resue ' area.
Haughton Green is one of the best Bothies in Northumberland. It's remoteness seems to protect it from the type of anti-social behavior that many of our Bothies suffer from. It will be a perfect base for the activities we have planned for the next few weeks.
